Hi I’m Mona

I've spent most of my life in motion.

Through careers, countries, corporate boardrooms, sailing adventures, yoga studios... and, if I'm honest, a few questionable decisions that somehow turned into my best teachers.

I grew up in Croatia, wandered through Asia and Europe, and eventually found my home in the Netherlands, where I live with two teenagers and three four-legged companions who are fairly convinced they're in charge. They might have a point.

For more than 15 years, I worked in law and international corporate leadership. I loved solving problems, leading teams, and building things. At the same time, another journey was quietly unfolding.

It started with meditation when I was twelve and slowly led me into yoga, movement, coaching, retreats, and an endless curiosity about what it means to be human.

Over the years I've learned plenty of methods.

Some were brilliant.

Some weren't for me.

All of them taught me something.

But one thing has stayed with me:

The body often knows what the mind is still trying to figure out.

That's why I created Playful Expression.

Not because I want to teach people how to move.

But because I've seen what happens when we stop trying so hard to get life right and simply become curious about what's already here.

Morana movement

We move. We play. We notice.

Sometimes we laugh. Sometimes we surprise ourselves.

And every now and then, we leave with a little more space than we arrived with.

There is no one right way to live, move, or grow.

I experienced deeply that

Life becomes a lot more interesting

when we stop performing it and start participating in it.

That sense of participation shapes much of my work — especially the retreats I co-create in the Netherlands and France with dear yoga teacher Renate Holm. With us, something simply clicked. Different strengths meet, the collaboration feels natural, and something new emerges. Together, we invite you to explore our upcoming retreats — and participate in life a little differently.

Hi, I'm Renate

I combine many years of experience in healthcare with the passion for movement, awareness and personal growth.

As a recovery nurse, educator and facilitator,  I bring extensive experience supporting people on both a physical and emotional level.

Through Work in Motion, I help people to move, both literally and metaphorically, creating space for new perspectives and deeper insights.

My expertise spans over,  Yin Yoga, Myo Yin, Acupressure Yin, Yoga Therapy, Yin, Yoga Nidra, Sound Baths.

I also host retreats in the Netherlands and France, creating space to slow down, go deeper and reconnect with yourself.

Working with Mona

"For me, working with Mona feels like a natural movement. A connection that touches the physical, mental and emotional levels, sometimes without the need for words. Everything simply feels right. And for that, I am deeply garteful”

Happy to welcome to our retreats.
